Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

This position is responsible for reviewing and understanding plans and specifications, and ensuring completed work meets the stated requirements. Located at the Woodstock plant, this is a position that requires diligent compliance to safety regulations.

As the Quality Control Inspector, the ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret shop drawings, be detailed, and focused on the task at hand while managing priorities and deadlines. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established procedures must be followed closely.

• Minimum two-year Engineering Technology diploma, or equivalent experience in a Quality Control position
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings
• Willingness to pursue PCI certification
• Team oriented
• Strong detail orientation
• Desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-focused environment
• Be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures

Job Title: General Labourer

• General heavy labour work in a precast concrete facility
• Assembly, preparation and dismantling of concrete forms
• Mixing, pouring, spreading and vibrating of concrete materials
• Placement, cutting and tying of reinforced steel and strands.
• Placement of standard material, such as insulation, c-grid, erection hooks, etc.
• Perform power washing for panels.
• Cleaning up working area

• Previous labour experience in the concrete and/or construction industry considered an asset
• Past experience tying rebar and concrete finishing considered an asset
• Ability to handle very physically demanding work
• Must be willing to work long shifts and extra hours

Job Title: Director of Contracts

This position is responsible to ensure a common, consistent project management method for managing projects across PreCon. This role ensures the operating model is entrenched in the organization and will hold the project management team accountable to the model. The position is located at the Brampton Office and supports the plants and field crews across the province.

As the Director of Contracts, the ideal candidate is results-driven with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement. They are a problem solver with excellent leadership skills and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Requirements Include:
• A Professional Engineer with a minimum 10 years’ experience in the concrete or construction industry
• Previous experience with both Canadian and US construction contracts considered an asset
• PMI certification considered an asset
• Detail-oriented coupled with proven sense of urgency and ability to balance priorities
• Experienced in conflict resolution and possess superior communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
