The program simply asks the Course Instructor/Professor to write to CPCI on school letterhead requesting the publications from the list below.

2010 Engineering Student Design (Big Beam) Contest Contest Period The contest begins September 15, 2009, and ends June 15, 2010. All beams should be fabricated and tested within this time frame. Applications are due by March 15, 2010, and test reports are due by June 14, 2010, at PCI headquarters.

2008 Architectural Design Competition The CPCI Student Education The PCI Student Education Committee (Pat Hynes, chair) invites entries from architectural students and IDP interns for PCI's 2008 Architectural Student Design Competition. The program, sponsored by AXIM Italcementi Group and Fister Quarries Group, Inc., includes cash prizes for the best design and other categories. This year's competition will be the design of a new School of Architecture and University Museum Complex. The design project must be completed and submitted by May 1, 2008. For competition information and submittal requirements, see below. The entries will be judged by a special jury at the 2008 PCI Design Awards Judging Program in Chicago, and the winners will be recognized at the 2008 PCI Annual Convention in Grapevine, Texas. PCI Producer Members and Regional Marketing Directors are urged to encourage their local architectural schools to participate in this program.

National Precast Day
Canadian Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute holds National Precast Day in the first week of 0ctober every year (national open house plant tour of precast plants across Canada). The tour shows how precast is manufactured under rigorous quality controls as well as the many benefits of building with Precast Concrete.
Every year professors and students from universities, colleges and technical schools related to the construction industry are invited along with other construction professionals (Architects, General Contractors, Design-Build Contractors, Facilities Officers, Specification Writers, Owners/Developers, Engineers and Consulting Personnel). Check out our website in September for times and locations and the nearest plant to you across Canada.
